Youth Development Program Jobs
The Youth Development Program is an active, engaging afterschool enrichment program that supports student safety and learning while having fun! Students are supported and mentored by caring staff who encourage students to respect themselves and others by achieving their greatest potential. YDP is a free After School Education and Safety (ASES) and 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) grant funded program.
In efforts to prepare youth for success in school and life, YDP serves students grades K through 5th and offers four main components: arts enrichment, educational enrichment, physical/ recreational activities, and homework time. YDP sites offer a second program, Youth Services (YS), that serves students grades 2nd through 5th. YS students have the opportunity to engage in homework time and physical/ recreational activities. Additionally, YDP offers a traveling enrichment program where students may experience specialized arts ranging from but not limited to dance, drumming, theater arts, video production, sewing, and others.
YDP offers on going professional development and training opportunities for staff to ensure staff are provided information and training to provide the best daily experiences for youth.
